Usually its just a battery. All garage door keypads have batteries…. but sometimes finding them is the hardest part.
There is always an access panel, but sometimes they are hidden at the bottom or even on the back against the wall. If the battery is bad for just a few days the code is usually held in memory and all you need to do is replace it and you’re good to go.
If you find the keypad will not open the garage door even after the battery is replaced, you’ll need to have it looked at.
